Meeting Stringent Service Level Requirements in County Government
Three years ago, a large county government in Southern California serving 3 million residents decided to select a new managed services team to improve IT services for its staff and constituents.

- Meet service level agreements for desktop and application support not met by previous contractor

Solution:
- The county selected Northrop Grumman as the prime contractor on the project, as well as Attain for application service management, AT&T for network deployment, and HP for data management
Results:
- The county outsourced the management of 250 different applications across three business groups: finance/general government services, community services, and land use – freeing internal IT staff to focus on other critical projects
- Attain manages the county's financial system, permitting system, and land space group applications – the highest revenue generators for the county – keeping these systems up and running 365 days a year, 24 hours a day
- Attain also works closely with the county on a series of separate IT projects, including large data center migrations and a major PeopleSoft application upgrade – keeping critical systems up and running so the county can deliver on its mission
- Attain helped the county improve the reliability of its financial management system by 99 percent
